New clerking structure for Brick Court

06/08/18

Brick Court is pleased to announce the appointment of Tony Burgess and Paul Dennison as Joint Senior Clerks from 1 August 2018.  As announced last year, Tony and Paul will succeed Julian Hawes and Ian Moyler after their many years of distinguished service.  Julian will become Director of Clerking and Ian is leaving chambers to pursue other opportunities.

To complement these appointments a new clerking structure will be implemented.  Luke Carvalho, Jo Francis and Philip Wilkes become Practice Managers, joined in September by Will Jackman from Devereux Chambers.  Olivia Cannon and James Knapp become Assistant Clerks.  Kate Trott and Demi Robinson become Clerks to the Mediators and Arbitrators.

Mark Howard QC, joint Head of Chambers commented, “We would like to record our immense thanks to Ian and Julian for their outstanding work and immense dedication to chambers for so many years.  Paul and Tony were promoted to Deputy Senior Clerks in 2014 in view of succession planning and we look forward to their leadership of the clerks’ room for many years to come.”
