Mike Ashley determined to have his day in court with the Newcastle United owners

However, despite the initial victory, the litigation does not end there. Mike Ashley is still pushing ahead with a court case to try and stop the exclusivity at some point in the future if things go his way, with the possibility of damages paid to him / them (Sports Direct) of Newcastle United lost. As part of that injunction case, Sports Direct lawyer Tony Singla claimed Newcastle fans “alleged dislike” of Mike Ashley was “massively overstated.”
