Brick Court Chambers are very pleased to announce that Paul Bowen QC has joined them as a tenant. Paul Bowen QC is a highly regarded Public Lawyer and augments a team at Brick Court undertaking some of the most interesting and challenging Public Law cases of the day.  Paul’s work spans both individual and corporate clients as well as acting for public bodies and regulators. Notable recent and ongoing cases include acting for the Nicklinson family in their ground breaking legal “right to die” challenge in the Supreme Court and acting for the Office of the Children's Commissioner, instructed by Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, in their intervention in the Public Law Project’s challenge to the Government’s controversial “residence test” reforms to Legal Aid funding which is currently before the Court of Appeal.

Joint Head of Chambers Jonathan Hirst QC comments: “We are delighted that Paul is joining us. Having worked alongside and against members of Chambers in the recent past we have witnessed his very considerable skills as an advocate. Alongside our other mainstream practices in Commercial Law, Competition and EU law, Public and Constitutional law continues to produce interesting and challenging cases and Paul will add to our existing strength in this field.“
