Brick Court's Mark Howard KC is one of the magic circle chambers' most prominent barristers. The joint head of Brick Court, Howard has a client list that includes Huawei, Igor Kolomoisky (the former co-owner of Privatbank), Qualcomm and Imperial Tobacco. He is one of the 10 most frequently listed barristers in The Lawyer's Top 20 cases over the past decade, having appeared on eight cases. These include the now infamous case of Nigeria v P&ID, in which Howard successfully prevented the country from being forced to pay $11bn in one of the most significant decisions for international arbitration in recent memory. He also led for Aercap Ireland, one of the lead claimants in the mammoth Russian aviation litigation, which wrapped up earlier this year.
